Deck Brackets - Patented Design
Hanging flower boxes on your wood deck railing is a cinch with our adjustable deck bracket.
The bracket is designed for top railings that are two-by-four to two-by-six inches, laid flat.
The long arm of the bracket fits into the slotted section. The slide will adjust to fit top
rails from two-by-four to two-by-six inches. No tools are needed to install the brackets. Each
pair of brackets has been designed to support approximately 36 lbs. For heavier planters, install
additional brackets. (Use one additional bracket for each additional 18 lbs. of weight.) It is
suggested that you secure flower boxes to the inside of a deck or balcony railing to avoid injury
from falling objects. Complete instructions are found on each bracket package. Novelty brackets
are made of rust-free aluminum with a black powder coating finish. |

Railing Brackets
These railing brackets from Novelty Mfg. are made especially for wrought iron railings,
or any railing 1.75" or smaller in width. Simply slide the adjustable support until it
touches the vertical rail and then tighten the support nut using a 7/16 inch wrench or an
adjustable wrench. Each pair of brackets has been designed to support approximately 36 lbs.
For heavier planters, install additional brackets. (Use one additional bracket for each
additional 18 lbs. of weight.) It is suggested that you secure flower boxes to the inside
of deck or balcony railings to avoid injury from falling objects. Novelty brackets are made of rust-free aluminum with a black
powder coating finish. |

Wall Brackets
These brackets are designed for use on a vertical surface at least 3 inches high.
A Phillips head screwdriver is needed for installation. Mark the mounting location
of the brackets with a pencil. Mount the brackets so they are about 2 1/2 inches from
the ends of the flower box. If there are molded feet on the bottom of the planter
(like the Countryside Flower Box Planters from Novelty Mfg.) be sure to mount the
brackets just inside the molded feet for maximum security. Fasten the brackets to the
mounting surface with the four wood screws provided. It may be necessary to pre-drill
the screw holes into the mounting surface.
When both brackets have been installed, position the flower box on the brackets.
These brackets have been designed especially for the Countryside Flower Box Planters
from Novelty Mfg. The top lip of the Countryside Flower Boxes will hook over the top
of the bracket, adding stability and increasing the weight capacity of the brackets by
at least 50%. Many other flower box planter designs will fit without hooking over the
top of the bracket. Each pair of brackets has been designed to support approximately
36 lbs. (60 lbs. with the Countryside Flower Box planters) Use one additional bracket
for each additional 18 lbs. of weight. Novelty brackets are made

Universal Brackets - Patented Design
This versatile bracket is designed for use on 1/2 inch vertical rails of wrought iron
railings and vertical mounting surfaces at least 3 inches high. Use the U clamp when
installing the bracket on wrought iron railings for a flower box or flower pot.
Brackets can also be installed to the wood uprights on a deck or to other vertical
surfaces that are at least 3 inches high. Each pair of brackets is designed to support
36 lbs. For heavier planters, install additional brackets. (Use one additional bracket
for each additional 18 lbs. of weight.) It is suggested that you secure the flower boxes
to the inside of deck or balcony railings to avoid injury from falling objects. Complete
instructions are found on each bracket package. Novelty brackets are made of rust-free
aluminum with a black powder coating finish. |
